WoW - Authenticator Hack

Hello Folks,

I just read some information regarding a new WoW Hack that compromises the authenticator code. It is malware that infiltrates the WoW client. When the user enters their UN/PW/Auth Code the system quickly sends the login credentials to a remote system; which instantly logs into the account within the 30-second authenticator window. While this is occurring the infected system refuses login, making it appear as if the authenticator code that was entered is incorrect.

This being said, authenticators no are no longer the end-all be-all of account security. Run your malware scans regularly with updated .dat files or you may find yourself with a naked character.
