DM Policy << Applying to Death Monkey Post-Application Process Trial Member Phase Full Member Phase Contact Information IMPORTANT DO NOT POST YOUR APPLICATION IN THIS FORUM. PM IT TO DMAPPS. REGISTER WITH YOUR IN-GAME NAME. Current Class Openings Please see main website page. We review and consider all applications, but the classes mentioned on the front page are currently our top priority. Our Policies and Goals Death Monkey is a mature, highly competitive, team-oriented group of players. We were formerly the raiding portion of Blood Oath of Bleeding Hollow. We are an end-game raiding guild with high expectations of our PVE performance and of our members. We strive to be a competitive guild while still upholding a fun and friendly atmosphere. Player Age and Maturity Maturity is a HUGE factor. We do not recruit people under the age of 18. The majority of the guild is 20+ and we intend to keep it that way. Attitude and Atmosphere The guild/raid atmosphere is highly important to us and we will protect it fiercely. This means no immature / greedy / disrespectful people will be allowed in. If they happen to slip in, they will get the savage arse-boot. We look for character first and will go to every length to ensure that we recruit quality people. The officers reserve the right to eject anyone from the guild for violating conduct/respect rules at any given time. Ninja Looting Policy Death Monkey upholds a zero tolerance policy on ninja looting in any part of the game. The punishment for ninja looting is an immediate, irreversible /gkick. Any unintentional or accidental looting will undergo a review by the officers. If you have a poor reputation because you are a known ninja, do not bother applying. You will not be accepted. Desired Qualities We are looking for people who can raid consistently and effectively. Our members all share the same goal of striving to be at the top of their game in terms of PVE. To that end, our raiders should display the following qualities: * Listens at all times in the raid. * Knows his/her class, and knows how to follow instructions. * Is coachable (i.e. is not offended when other members offer advice). * Maintains a professional raiding attitude during the raid. While we require a link to your armory profile on wowarmory.com, it is limited in that the Armory only records your current spec and the gear you are wearing currently. You may want to elaborate on raiding/intended specs and other sets of gear (For example, a warrior linking both tanking gear and dps gear). Only use the "Alt information" field if you have other characters you play very frequently (other 80s, other servers, etc). Any additional information such as WWS, WMO, or WOL parses will also be considered and is highly recommended for DPS positions. Schedule Notes Our current raiding schedule is as follows: (all times server time - remember, on Cho'gall server times are CST) Sunday 8pm - 11:30pm Monday 8pm - 11:30pm Tuesday Off night Wednesday 8pm - 11:30pm Thursday 8pm - 11:30pm Friday Off night Saturday Off night Please take this into account when filling out your availability. DM Policy Applying to Death Monkey Post-Application Process << Trial Member Phase Full Member Phase Contact Information Reviewing Your App Submitting an application does NOT mean you are in consideration. All applications must be reviewed before we can make any decisions, which generally takes a minimum of one week. If you are not contacted in a week, you may contact a guild administrator and inquire about your application. Be aware that there is a constant influx of applications and it is very possible that we have not fully reviewed your application even after a full week has passed. Wait One Week! ALWAYS wait one week before inquiring about your application. Annoying, pestering, or otherwise harassing any member of Death Monkey about your application (especially before the one-week mark) will result in your application being denied. It is your responsibility to remember the date you applied, and when you are allowed to ask us about it. If you want us to take you seriously, you need to respect our rules! Also, DO NOT ASK ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION WHILE WE ARE IN MID RAID. We will not respond, as we have a raid to run. Take note of our raid times and contact us outside of those time frames if it is after the 1 week review. Meetings and Interviews If we contact you about your application, you will most likely be subjected to several meetings, interviews, and conversations with various DM members (generally on our Ventrilo server, or in-game). Expect lots of questions, and be honest in your answers. Raiding With Us After we decide you may be a potential recruit, we will invite you to join some of our raids. Bring your A-game.. we'll be watching you! Members of your class will be evaluating your performance and reporting back to the officers (who are also paying close attention.. no pressure!). If we like what we see after a few raids, you may be asked to join DM as a Trial Member. Last edited by Jaidenfire : 07-31-2009 at 11:31 AM. |

DM Policy Applying to Death Monkey Post-Application Process Trial Member Phase << Full Member Phase Contact Information For the Trial phase, the applicant is guild-invited. The applicant must attend between 8-18 raids (varies from applicant to applicant) before we will consider full membership. Applicants who do not "make the cut" will be removed from the guild. Depending on the reason for removal, we may ask the applicant to apply again at a later date when the issue no longer exists (one possible reason would be a schedule conflict). If we do not specifically ask you to reapply, please don't submit another application. EP Earning Trial members will earn the full amount of EP for participating in our raids. Loot Rights Trial members do not generally receive any loot. Our loot drop priority is Full Member > Trial Member > Applicant. The only possible exception is if an item were to be disenchanted - in which case the item value will be added to the member's accumulated GP. Guild Interaction Applicants are expected and encouraged to participate in discussion and conversation with our members. However, please keep in mind that being annoying, overly talkative, or a know-it-all is a turn-off (i.e. we don't really need the new guy telling us every detail about how his old guild does MC bosses and by the way we should do it that way too). Raid Priority Trial members are secondary to full members in the event that we have more than 25 online for a raid. There is the possibility of being asked to sit out or leave a raid so that a full member may take the spot. Last edited by Muramasa : 07-31-2009 at 11:34 AM. |
